Collaboration is essential to us. It has always been a huge part of me, especially when it concerns food. Whether it is a new dish or a classic, a forgotten ingredient or a fresh discovery, it is the coming together in a global community that I truly relish.
Enjoyed learning about the unique (to me anyway) foods. Curious about the flavor of black garbanzos. Is it same as the yello? What are the characteristics?
Black Garbanzos have more integrity, though softened when cooked. A little more robust and nutty flavor. I buy them from Indian grocery store. If you are planning to make a Black Hummus, you should be able to purchase black tahini from Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s. I don’t like to use white tahini with Black garbanzos as the end result is not aesthetically pleasing, and the flavor is a little less nuttier. Let me know how it works for you, do warm up the bread for this one!!
