As our exploration of Dubai continued, we paused to embrace the enchanting ambiance of the must-visit venue: Pierchic at Jumeirah Al Qasr. A dining oasis just off the Dubai shores.
Dubai's cosmopolitan culture, along with its reputation as a global hub for tourism and business, has led to a flourishing dining scene, home to an estimated 13,000 restaurants and cafes. The city is also known for hosting numerous Michelin-starred chefs and world-renowned dining establishments, making it a major gastronomic destination in the Middle East.
So, with only a few opportunities to taste what Dubai has to offer, we were fortunate to have been given a ‘tip’ from a friend. “Visit Pierchic!”

Head Chef Beatrice Segoni of Pierchic restaurant, in collaboration with Jumeirah Al Qasr in Dubai, unveils her epicurean artistry at the Michelin Guide-recognized establishment.
A culinary maestro from Florence, Segoni refined her skills under her mentor who emphasized the power of simplicity-an ethos that deeply influences her award-winning Italian cuisine.
Perched on a private pier, Pierchic offers breathtaking views of the Arabian Gulf and serves up a dining escapade with Segoni’s distinctive touch.
Originating from the picturesque Le Marche region of Italy, Segoni grew up immersed in nature, which profoundly shapes her culinary philosophy. Her dedication to using prominent fresh, ingredients not only emphasizes the dynamic tastes of Italy but also reflects deep commitment to sustainability.
For Segoni, cooking is a deeply personal journey, grounded in the belief that it is all about sharing and evoking emotions.
Honored as Chef of the year at the Leaders in F&B Awards 2022, she has also fashioned a memorable four-hands dining experience at the ‘city’s longest table on the pier.’ Each dish she assembles narrates a story of her upbringing.
Pierchic received one toque at the Gault&Milau UAE 2022 Guide, further solidifying its status as a premier dining destination.
Setting the Scene
A canvas for panoramic views and indeed a masterclass in holistic dining, where every element, from the shimmering sea to the striking skyline, is carefully designed to evoke an odyssey of the senses.
The gentle sound of waves lapping against the pier synthesizes with the laughter of the guests, while the aroma of fresh ingredients wafts through the air, enticing your appetite.
We had the pleasure of meeting Sous Chef Gabriel, while Chef Segoni was away. Chef Gabriel was charming and attentive, expertly tailoring the dishes to accommodate my dietary needs. His original approach ensured that our meal was inclusive, satisfying and memorable.
There was a wonderful camaraderie between our server, Luca and Chef Gabriel. Luca made certain our plates were served with precision and care, delighting us with elaborate details about each plate. His enthusiasm added an extra layer of pleasure to our meal.
We were well looked after by Alessandro Farinelli, Assistant Outlet Manager, who sat us at a lovely table with a perspective of the entire restaurant.
A Harmonious blend of Taste, Sight, and Connection
The highlight? Capesante (scallops)! These rich sweet morsels were skilfully seared and paired with bright, grassy, sweet peas, earthy mushrooms, toasted buttery hazelnuts complemented by a garnish of luscious carrot purée, and finished with a drizzle of stimulating aroma of truffle oil.
Each bite offered a burst of compelling savor, making this entrée a standout that embodies sophistication and depth.
